On the Road with Economic Developers

Over the next few months, I’ll be blogging about the world of economic development, investment attraction, investment, lead generation and my travels.  As a supplier to economic development organizations from around the globe, I get a front row seat to how ED’s operate in different countries including their; similarities, differences, challenges, operations, etc…

I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages facing investment promotion professionals from different regions as well as how economic development professionals have been coping with the recent economy. I also attend numerous trade events, some of which provide great value to the economic development community and others which are quite the opposite. I visit specific geographical regions to meet with clients to learn more about their regions as well as attend familiarization tours, which enable me to see how specific regions present themselves to potential investors.

I look forward to sharing my ideas, thoughts and experiences with you all.
